Do they hate you?
It’s a sad, but a true reality. We all have haters. The question I often ask is “why?”
Why do people hate on those who choose to be more and get more out of life?
I don’t think there’s a right or wrong answer, but here are my thoughts in a letter.
Dear Hater:
I never gave you much thought energy until the other morning. As I was scrolling down my Facebook New Feed, my eyes captured another one of your ill vibes towards fellow entrepreneur—just doing her thing.
Here’s something that you don’t know and may never quite understand: as entrepreneurs we are so in love with doing what we do that we don’t have the time or energy to entertain you. But today, I’ve made an exception.
I want to set the record straight and by the way it ‘s a great way to start the New Year. I know you’ll be right there—just watching.
I forgive you for all your negative speech and labels you’ve placed on me. I don’t have any hatred in my heart for you. I’m not sure how we met, but I’m quite sure you think you know more about me than I know about you– and that may be true.
But here’s an absolute truth, I was created to do great things and sometimes that requires a few mistakes here and there, but I will never quit. Mistakes can’t stop me, they will only teach me to do things better.
As we approach, a brand New Year, it’s the right time to embrace a new perspective on our relationship. I vow to shower you with what you seem to lack—LOVE.
Not only do you lack love for others, you lack love for yourself. You know the scriptures warn us “to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute you.” I am committed to do just that—for real this time.
If you don’t understand anything else that I’ve written in this letter, know this one thing: I LOVE YOU.
Just as Judas did to Jesus, you’ve searched high and low to find an accusation against me, and when none was found you sealed your betrayal with a kiss.
I’m sorry you chose be a JUDAS when you could’ve been a PETER.
Cheers to an even better and stronger me in 2016,
Sandy
